We were honored to have partners Amina Karic and Cynthia LaFave represent LaFave, Wein, Frament & Karic, PLLC at the 2026 National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA) Annual Conference in Chicago.

The conference brought together leading attorneys, advocates, and professionals from across the country for thoughtful discussion on the evolving legal landscape surrounding crime victims, emerging issues in civil litigation, and strategies for pursuing justice and accountability.

Amina and Cynthia had the opportunity to share with other experienced leaders in the field, exchange ideas with fellow advocates, and take part in conversations focused on strengthening the representation of crime victims. The conference was also a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues who share our commitment to pursuing meaningful civil justice for survivors.

We’re excited to bring the perspective and connections gained at NCVBA back to our practice. Continuing to share with other leaders in the field—and working alongside them—is an important part of our commitment to providing strong, informed advocacy for our clients.
